Lost Lake

This campground and cabin resort is a bit overcrowded for some tastes, but the loop hike around the lake through old growth forest isn't heavily traveled. Unfortunately, it's been a long time since I did that hike and I don't have any photos to share. The shot at the bottom of the page is near the beginning of the trail where the trees are smaller.

It's a bit of a drive to get here. Follow I-84 east from Portland to Hood River. Here's a link to a good map. Drive south from Hood River to the town of Dee and follow signs. The route is well-marked.
