Obsidian Trail (Three Sisters)

Head south and east from Portland and you'll find over 260 miles of trail within the Three Sister Wilderness. These photos were taken on a backpack along the Obsidian Trail (check trail #3528) and some neighboring trails. It's a high desert paradise with great lava formations.

Directions:

From McKenzie River Ranger Station, drive east on Highway 126 about 2 miles to Highway 242. Drive 16.7 miles up Highway 242 to the Obsidian Trailhead.
