Twin Lakes

Enjoy a snowshoe or hike in spectacular old growth forest with two beautiful mountain lakes as your destination. To get to the Twin lakes, follow Route 26 East from Portland. Drive through Govt. Camp and the pass, then descend to the junction with highway 35. Stay on 26 and turn south towards Bend. Look for the Frog Lake sno-park on your left a few miles down the road.



The trailhead for Twin Lakes is on the north end of the parking lot. Walk a few hundred feet, then turn right at the junction. Follow the Pacific Crest Trail north for 1.5 miles, then take the Twin Lakes turnoff on your right. Descend 1/2 mile to reach Lower Twin Lake. Upper Twin Like is another 3/4 mile further on.
